Apartment: The apartment in “Le Belvedere” is perfectly situated at the entrance to “Les Collons”, giving a range of shops and facilities only a few steps away, so you can be without the car from the moment you arrive! The ski bus stops outside the apartment and can take you along the terrace a few minutes to save your feet, or up to Thyon if you need the ski school or crèche. It has breathtaking views across the stunning Val d’Herens and Val d’Heremence valleys, including a view of the Matterhorn.

Outside: The apartment has a large corner balcony which is perfect for taking in the stunning views, fresh mountain air and tranquility. The apartment has sun from first thing in the morning until the afternoon. There is a table and six chairs and a gas barbeque

Entrance: A boot and ski / board locker room is on the ground floor as you come into the lobby. There is also a cave.

Living area: The apartment’s main living area is open plan, and incorporates a lounge area, dining area and stylish new kitchen. Via French windows, the living area opens out onto two balconies with impressive 180 degree views of the Val d’Herens and Val d’Heremence valleys and across to the Matterhorn. There is a large corner sofa, which incorporates a double sofa bed. All mod cons are provided including a television, DVD/PS2 and IPOD speakers.

Kitchen: The kitchen is well equipped with large fridge/freezer, electric fan oven, grill/microwave induction hob, dishwasher, coffee maker and all the usual kitchen appliances / utensils that you may require. There is crockery, cutlery and glassware for at least eight guests. There is also a washer and dryer in the laundry room in the basement.

Dining: The dining area is incorporated into the open plan living area and seats 6-8 people.

Bedrooms: The apartment in Le Belvedere has two bedrooms. In the master bedroom you can open your eyes and see the Matterhorn! The second bedroom has bunk beds and another mattress beneath the bunk. There is an additional put-you-up which can be located in the large hallway at night as it is closed off from the other sleeping areas. There is a baby cot and a second travel cot in the apartment (if you have twins!). A double sofa bed is situated in the living area if required. Both bedrooms open out onto the sunny balcony through French windows. Duvets and pillows are provided but guests are required to provide their own bed linen and towels.

Parking: There is some dedicated parking for the Belvedere apartments, but it is first come first served. Public Parking is only a short distance away if required.

Leisure: There is a sensibly sized pool in the basement which the children really enjoy, and it also has glorious views. There is also a sauna for your tired legs.

Local facilities: There are a range of facilities in Les Collons (1800, 1850, 1900) including: supermarkets, bakers, restaurants, ski shops / hire shops, newsagents, Ski School, tennis courts, riding and mini golf in Thyon in the summer. There is also a children’s playground. There are further facilities higher up the mountain at Thyon 2000, including a public swimming pool, creche and jardin de neige as well as doctor with x-ray facilities on site. Historic Sion is the capital of Valais and is a 20 minute drive from the chalet, where more substantial supermarkets can be found. A new Aldi situated at the foot of the mountain is great for stocking up on basics. There are ice-skating, bowling, theatres and cinemas in Sion

Access: Being in the centre of Les Collons is a huge advantage at the end of a busy day’s skiing. The free ski bus can literally drop you at the door. In any case the chair lift at Les Collons is walking distance, if you don’t mind walking in ski boots.

Please note that the chalet is strictly no smoking (except outside). Dogs are not allowed. Children are welcome, and we have a babychair and a cot.
